SIMMER 2002 CLOSEOUT SALESIMMER 2002 SAIL INFO Quality and Performance Simmer 2001 is what Simmer is all about. Quality, performance, innovation, and style. Born and bred on Maui, this is where we develop and test all of our products. Only superior design survives here. Likewise our team riders are equally demanding and never satisfied. That's the only way we can keep improving year after year. Constantly pushing the limits, everything keeps moving faster. Just checkout freestyle and the latest freemoves - the year before last, Willy Skippers were the ticket, now everyone is making Airspocks and vulcans. Moves Like this only come with the complete trust that your gear will give you all the speed, power and control you're looking for.
The speed, the forward motion you you need for aerials and directional changes.
The Power you need to go off the bottom and fly off the lip, to plane through lulls, to make it through the impact zone or out of a transition. The control to keep it all together - to go over the edge and come back, pushing the limits all the while.
ShapeTo create the speed, power and control you are looking for. Down low, the shape corresponds to your own center of effort. Well forward, it drives and pivots for easier manuvering and transitions. The shaping is closely controlled by precision broadseaming as well as digitally tapered battens custom designed to support the shape of the sail at each batten position. Twist Super-fine-tuned luffcurves. Fanned batten layout. Increased draft stability. All of this contributes to controlled speed. Unlimited top end speed and acceleration can only happen with the right amount of twist in the right place. Power Switch At your fingertips - sheet in and all the power and speed you could want is yours - sheet out and your sail instantly goes neutral so you can pull off your wildest moves with ease.
Custom sailmaking construction - all reinforcements are integrated prior to final stitching. All seams glued, taped and triple-stitched for maximum durability. Double sewn mast sleeve seams to keep it all in one piece. Extra batten backing reinforcement to protect the sail.
Super tough reef head protector - for rocks, reefs, and parking lots. Same tough material for the lower maximum rotation batten front ends - no more holes in the mast sleeve. PVC reinforced foot edge for the harshest board decks. Kevlar-polyester grid-plies. Stronger laminates stratigically positioned to maximize durability. |
